Sunday Market Tote
The Sunday Market Tote is a hand-crocheted cotton tote with an open floral stitch, a scalloped top, and long braided straps. It is light, soft, and meant to be carried, not structured like a purse.
The body is worked in a repeating flower stitch, so it has some give and a little air. The scalloped edge finishes the top, and the braided straps are long enough to sit on the shoulder. Cotton holds its shape better than a floppy yarn bag, and it softens with use.
It is an easy carry for a market, a book, or a light day out. It is not a heavy grocery bag. A book, a wallet, sunglasses, and a small purchase fit the scale of the stitch.
Each tote is hand-crocheted, so the stitches and the drape vary slightly from one bag to the next. Spot clean, and lay it flat to dry.
